Tanglewilde-Thompson Place is a census-designated place (CDP) in Thurston County, Washington, United States, part of the Urban Growth Area of the city of Lacey. The population was 5,670 at the 2000 census. ==Geography== Tanglewilde-Thompson Place is located at (47.051718, -122.781491). According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 1.5 square miles (3.8 km²), all of it land. It is surrounded by the city of Lacey, with Tanglewilde south of Martin Way, and Thompson Place to the north. Tanglewilde-Thompson Place is within the North Thurston Public Schools district. Elementary schools in the area include Lydia Hawk and Olympic View. The main middle school is Nisqually Middle School. Most high school students in Tanglewilde Thompson Place attend River Ridge High School.
